Mine countermeasures
Due to a vast store and variety of mines around the world, MCMs is the urgent thing in modern practice.
JSC “Concern “Sea Underwater Weapon - Gidropribor” has developed and produced a range of influence sweeps to counter noncontact bottom mines.
Along with the influence MCMs, the Concern has developed a number of contact sys-tems including variable-depth sweeps, bottom double sweeps and net sweeps towed by minesweepers, wing crafts and hovercrafts.
Besides the towed systems we provide a rich variety of mobile wire-guided vehicles and AUVs for defence and economics applications.
We provide the influence systems of two types:
- conventional influence sweeps;
- target-physical field imitating sweeps.
The fundamental difference between imitating and influence sweeps is that the former reproduce far more classification criteria in a narrower sweep path comparable with the bot-tom-mine engagement zone instead of reproducing limited number of the criteria in a wide path.
The conventional influence sweeps are used to sweep mines with known characteris-tics.
The imitating sweeps are used to counter up-to-date noncontact mines capable of pro-cessing signals with their subsequent classification and the target selection.
This kind of MCM is rather effective against advanced bottom mines in complex envi-ronment and in a case of self-buried, mask-coated or embedded mines when the other detection/destruction means are ineffective.
